A hologram bracelet is a wrist-worn artifact which, when worn, powered, and activated, creates a holographic image of the player character at a point you designate within 10 spaces. Hostile creatures that fail a difficulty 15 Intelligence save will prioritize attacking the hologram over you. Holograms are immune to damage, normality fields, and EMP effects, though the bracelet itself is still vulnerable to EMP. The hologram will move with the opposite inputs relative to you, e.g. if you move one space to the right, the hologram will move one space to the left. The hologram will not move through walls or other objects that block movement. Once the hologram is active, it has functionally infinite range, so long as it still has clearance to move. An active bracelet consumes very little charge per turn; it takes roughly 20 turns for an active hologram bracelet to consume 1% of a chem cell's charge.

If the quest More Than a Willing Spirit is completed by or before reaching level 12, the player will be rewarded with a hologram bracelet.

• The movie Total Recall includes a wrist-worn hologram device that is similar to Qud's hologram bracelet. It also emits a holographic mirror-image of the user that sometimes appears to move in the opposite direction of the real wearer. While using the hologram device in that movie, Quaid (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) speaks the line, "You think this is the real Quaid? It is."
• Currently, activating a hologram bracelet will reset the hostility of creatures in the zone to the appropriate level for your reputation with them. This means that if they were only hostile to you because you attacked them or an ally, they will no longer be.[1]
