The knot of roots is a 3x3 interactable terrain feature that provides semi-portable storage. Although immobile and unable to participate in combat, it may sometimes generate a copy of itself when the player enters a new zone, significantly more often inside NPC settlements. All instances of the knot of roots share the same inventory, with no observed capacity limit.

Warning: Network of Roots has been bugged for a while now, and can sometimes end up having its entire inventory replaced with [Object] items, deleting everything inside. Although the original bug is listed as fixed, there are still reports of it happening on rare occasions.
