The strangest arconaut you've ever seen has bulging skin that seems to roil underneath. Their movements are shuddery, slow, imperfect, but coordinated at least at some rudimentary level. The gait is lurching, the countenance is unnatural, but the intentionality behind their hideous smile is, nonetheless, pure.

Herman is a pet introduced in the Pets of Harvest Dawn DLC and currently the only officially-released pet not available via subscription to the Freehold Games Patreon.

Herman's 100 HP and Regeneration mutation at level 9 makes them exceptionally durable for their level. Additionally, they cannot fall prone. As with any typical human, they are reliant on equipment for both offense and defense; these must be supplied to them by the player character, as Herman starts with only empty hands and a woven tunic.

Herman's motivations for becoming an adventurer are unknown, but based on their story, they have traveled Qud for years before meeting the player character. While Herman is capable of Telepathy, the use of onomatopoeia in their dialogue implies that they speak aloud to their companion.

It's from years ago, and I don't know that she even looked at it while she was Warden, but it reminds me of the mysterious stranger who's been talking to people when they're alone.
