Extra info:
greater voider

Evolutionary pressures have reshaped the anatomy of the voider: fangs have descended from its basal segment, the arciform chambers of its shunting gland have fractalized, and its frame has grown an order of magnitude to match the predatory potency of its other advantages.

Perfect

The greater voider is a tier 5 creature that can be found within the underground. Unlike voiders, they will pursue targets instead of keeping their distance. The greater voider will attempt to bite the target. If this bite hits (it does not need to penetrate), the target will be teleported into the greater voider's lair in that zone along with the greater voider. This lair is different than Legendary lairs. This teleportation has a penetration of 60 against normality effects. If there are multiple greater voiders in the same zone, they will all use the same lair.

Greater Voider Lair

An example of a greater voider lair, including corpse with loot.

When a greater voider is spawned, their lair is also generated in the same zone. It is a simple rectangular room with no entrances or exists. Bones and webs will be scattered throughout.

Each lair has a 10% chance to spawn with a greater voider's previous victim, which will be a random humanoid corpse which will have:

  • a random melee weapon (95%)
  • 0-2 random armor (95%)
  • 0-4 assorted items

The tier of these items will depend on the tier of the zone the lair was spawned in, which is (Z-6)/2 + 2 at depths greater than 5, and the tier of the surface tile if shallower.
