Arachnids are a faction that consists mostly of arthopods. They are initially aggressive towards the player character, but will only attack other creatures if attacked first or if the creature gets trapped in their web.

Although some arachnids prefer to attack like other factions, some prefer to avoid combat and wait until something gets stuck in their web to strike.

Legendary Arachnids

Legendary arachnids spawn as a dynamic encounter on a screen. This means their "lairs" do not automatically mark its location in the journal. An arachnid lair will have webs and phase webs strewn about the screen, with a legendary arachnid surrounded by their posse of other arachnids. The legendary one will sometimes have an additional title like "Virtuoso Weaver". Fittingly, they will spawn with different types of cloaks, the most valuable being the rainboweave cloak which can only be found on legendary arachnids.
