    Robots

Robots are a faction in Caves of Qud. They are the automated machines left behind by the past civilizations of Qud long after their fall. However, not belonging in this faction does not mean they are not robotic. Some factions have learned to reprogram them and thus the robot follows that particular faction instead, such as Vivira or reprogrammed scrap shoveler. They appear most commonly in ruins (the terrain and the encounter).

Robots are universally made out of metal, leaving them vulnerable to rust, and their electronic components are susceptible to both electricity and EMP effects.

    Tips

    • Due to the abundance of high tier robots, getting a neutral (> -250) reputation with robots can help with surviving in dangerous areas such as the Palladium Reef and deep underground.
    • Getting neutral reputation can be achieved using legendary creatures who are liked or disliked by robots, or Schrodinger page from the Annals of Quds. Legendary unplanished godheds wandering the jungles are guaranteed to be loved by robots, but do not grant robot reputation when the player performs the water ritual with them. Killing a godhed still decreases the player's reputation with robots though, so avoiding killing them is a good way to preserve standing with robots.
