It is available during character creation to True Kin from Yawningmoon (those of the Child of the Hearth, Child of the Wheel, Child of the Deep, and Fuming God-Child castes).

This functionality is also provided by the optical multiscanner implant.

Advantages & Disadvantages

Advantages

• Can make navigating certain locations with guaranteed up/down transitions such as the Rust Wells or Bethesda Susa much faster.

Disadvantages

• Very difficult to find outside of character creation
• Can be replaced by the more functional optical multiscanner

• Revealed staircases are considered an explored tile for the purposes of High-fidelitly matter recompositer(favilink error!) allowing the user to instantly teleport to any present
