Lacquered: This item repels liquids and cannot rust.

lacquered is an item mod that prevents items from acquiring the rusted status effect or becoming stained with any liquid. It can only be applied to metal items.[1]

Items or equipment with the lacquered mod will not prevent the player themselves from becoming stained with a liquid.

Notably, many items made of Fullerite, Crysteel and Zetachrome are not considered metal and cannot be lacquered.
