beautiful visage is a moderate cost cybernetic implant which upon installation provides the user with a +2 boost to Ego.

The bonus unlike boosts from equipment and much like the points obtained from leveling count towards the attribute requirements for certain skills. Additionally, the extra ego provides the user with lowered merchant prices and +1 to ego related saves as well as improving the effectiveness of various ego-influenced skills.

Advantages & Disadvantages

Advantages

• Can be used along with Berate in order to improve the likelihood of recruiting creatures with Proselytize.
• Can be installed and uninstalled at the user's leisure, allowing for easy temporary installation when looking to benefit from the lowered trading prices.
• Improves the effectiveness of Intimidate and Menacing Stare.

Disadvantages

• Limited utility in combat without specialization or investment into ego skills.
• Can be fully replaced by injecting two Eaters' nectar injectors and boosting ego, freeing up the faceslot for an implant with effects that cannot be as easily replicated, such as custom visage, optical multiscanner, holographic visage or intravenous port.
• Moderate cost can be a bit prohibitive depending on the user's license tier and build goals.

Tips

• Having the implant installed effectively provides the user with 6 levels worth of attribute points into ego, meaning that if the user were to find and install beautiful visages such as by moving the zone-tier adjusting gutsmonger one of which always spawns at the Six Day Stilt to a mid-tier location like Ezra and then taking advantage of the adjusted wares. The user with enough skill points would then be able to access various skills which require ego an earlier stage than normal. Such skills include:
  • Proselytize
  • Inspiring Presence
  • Snake Oiler
• Additional ego can synergize well builds which make use of social coprocessor. Social coprocessor with sufficient compute power can allow the user to recruit multiple creatures with the Proselytize skill, the extra ego can then make the requirement process easier as well as allowing the user's followers to receive higher additional Max HP from the Inspiring Presence skill.
