The alchemist is a creature living in the depths of Bethesda Susa that can be found if the player does not choose to skip a section of the dungeon through the lift. They sell one dram of every kind of liquid, including cloning draught and neutron flux. Speaking to them is a steam achievement.

Despite them being a merchant, they are by no means weak. If attacked, the alchemist will explode with a neutron flux blast with a force of 15,000 around themselves and a range around them. This blast will deal 10d10+250260-350 (Avg: 305) damage to anything caught in it. This kills the alchemist.

Being a faction member of Grazing hedonists, they will not initiate attack, but many other creatures in Bethesda Susa will attack them, like eyeless king crabs or lurking beths. Clearing out the floor so no creatures of an opposing faction will meet the alchemist is recommended to prevent untimely neutronic related death.
