Otho is a member of the Barathrumites, second in command to Barathrum the Old. He is the player's primary liaison for quests after the player gains access to the interior of Grit Gate by completing More Than a Willing Spirit.

• Otho was a Roman emperor, the second in the Year of the Four Emperors. His reign lasted for three months. Biographer Suetonius said of him: "Moreover, they say that he used to shave every day and smear his face with moist bread, beginning the practice with the appearance of the first down, so as never to have a beard." His father, also an Otho, was known for the severity of his command. The senior Otho earned patrician status by foiling an attempt on the life of the emperor Claudius, who called him "a man of greater loyalty than I can even pray for in my own children."
