The longreach grappling gun is an upgraded version of the grappling gun with much further reach. When the player fires the longreach grappling gun as a projectile weapon, it shoots out a hook that then reels the player to where it hits. In open areas, the player can cross the entire zone in a single turn, making this item quite powerful.

• Since the longreach grappling gun can move the player across the map in a single turn, it can be used to instantly close the gap on enemies with powerful ranged abilities, such as chrome pyramids.
