broken is an effect that can be applied on both robots and items. Objects that are affected by broken have [broken] appended to the name.

On Items

If on an item, it will be forcefully unequipped if equipped, and cannot be reequipped. The commerce value of the item will also be divided by 100. It can be repaired if the player character knows Repair.
