Burning

burning

(burning damage) damage per turn.

Creatures and objects gain the burning effect if their temperature reaches or exceeds their flame temperature. For most creatures and objects, including the player, this is 350°. Some creatures or objects, such as phials or the great magma crab, have a far higher flame temperature, making them harder to set on fire.

Creatures and objects with the burning effect will have the flaming prefix added to the beginning their name.

Burning damage per turn is calculated as follows:

Degrees above flame temperature Damage per turn
1° - 100° 1
101° - 300° 1-21-2 (Avg: 1.5)
301° - 500° 2-32-3 (Avg: 2.5)
501°- 700° 3-43-4 (Avg: 3.5)
701° - 900° 4-54-5 (Avg: 4.5)
901° or more 5-65-6 (Avg: 5.5)
