Despite them being a merchant, they are by no means weak. If attacked, the alchemist will explode with a neutron flux blast with a force of 15,000 around themselves and a range around them. This blast will deal ♥10d10+250260-350 (Avg: 305) damage to anything caught in it.[1] This kills the alchemist.

Being a faction member of Grazing hedonists, they will not initiate attack, but many other creatures in Bethesda Susa will attack them, like eyeless king crabs or lurking beths. Clearing out the floor so no creatures of an opposing faction will meet the alchemist is recommended to prevent untimely neutronic related death.
