clockwork beetle
Shining black elytra flitter on the back of a goat-sized bug. There is sharp, persistent ticking emanating outward.
Spawned in great numbers by ticking vents, clockwork beetles are swarming robotic enemies who can overwhelm low-level players with their numbers. They drop Scrap at a rate comparable to other Robots, and can be an excellent source of bits for players who can contend with the swarm.
Certain Relics have a chance to create a friendly clockwork beetle on hit. These allies, though weak, are numerous. Spawned beetles can level up like other enemies and drop scrap when killed.
