Slime is common liquid that is mostly used for its curative properties when mixed with other liquids to create a cure for various illnesses.
Stepping on a tile with less than 1,000 drams of slime forces the creature to make an agility saving throw with difficulty . If this fails, the creature will slip.
The mollusks faction is the only faction that requires slime to perform the water ritual with it's members.
Drinking slime returns the following message:
It's disgustingly slimy! |
Doing so will cause the imbiber to be confused for 3d6 turns, but does not influence hydration in any way.
Sources of Slime
- The Slime Glands mutation allows the player to spit slime at will
- giant amoebas explode into slime on death
- snailmothers leave behind a trail of slime
- Slimy biomes have an abundance of slime across the zone that they occupy and some creatures in them will also spit slime
- slime weeps and giant slime weeps, which can be found in fungal biomes, the Rainbow Wood, historic sites, or occasionally in other locations. In a fungal biome, the dandy caps and spotted shagspooks around slime weeps will be dark green or brown in color.
- Sometimes, slime will be sold by ichor merchants, one of which is guaranteed to spawn in the Stiltgrounds.
- The alchemist is guaranteed to have one dram of slime available for purchase.
Uses of Slime
- Desalinating slime using a desalination pellet will make gel.
- Can be a possible cure liquid for illnesses or fungal infections.
- Drinking slime will give the message "It's disgustingly slimy!" and inflict the drinker with level 5 confused for 3d63-18 (Avg: 10.5) turns.
