Advantages & Disadvantages
Advantages
*Low cost and relatively easy to obtain from early game cybernetics merchants
*Can provide access to the very valuable willowy and slender mods at early stage in the game.
*Several provided mods can be otherwise extremely challenging to find normally.
*Potentially offers a huge variety of mk III grenades.
Disadvantages
*Requires investment into the tinker skill tree and many bits which may be challenging for some characters.
*Difficult to find a specific schematics category without dedicated searching.
*Destruction upon removal necessitates heavy planning and cosnideration before installation.
Tips
*Individual schematics can be learned permanently by using the Psychometry mutation which is temporarily obtainable by either cooking with sun-dried banana or by eating from the clay oven in Ezra.

Schemasoft [low-tier] is a lower cost head exclusive cybernetic which grants the user access to a variety of schematics depending on the individual implant's catagory. There are 8 different types in total each with their own list of provided item and mod schematics.

While the user is given access to the schematics in the tinkering menu, they will still need the appropriate tinkering skill in order to actually tinker any of the artifacts/items. However, this does not apply to provided mods allowing for immediate modification upon installation assuming the user has the needed bits. Generally, the provided schematics will be associated with one or more tiers of the tinkering skill with higher-tier schemasofts having more extensive selections.

In other words, Schemasoft [low-tier] would primarily grant blueprints that can be unlocked with the tinker I skill, and schemasoft (mid-tier) would include schematics from both tinker I and tinker II with schemasoft (high-tier) having schematics from all three tiers of tinker.
