You are allergic to tonics.

The chance your mutant physiology reacts adversely to a tonic is increased to 33%.
If you react adversely this way to a salve or ubernostrum tonic, the adverse reaction effect is chosen randomly from among other tonic effects. You will still heal.

Mutants with the Tonic Allergy (D) defect can still use tonics, but the chance of having adverse reactions is increased to 33% (it is normally only 5%). Mutants with this defect also may have adverse reactions to salve or ubernostrum injectors, which don't ordinarily otherwise cause adverse reactions.

• Provides four extra points for choosing other starting mutations.

Disadvantages

• Can cause very bad side effects when using salve injectors or ubernostrum injectors, making it much riskier to use those injectors for healing purposes.
• Generally makes all injectors riskier to use.
