These cannot be unequipped or damaged, but will always remain at 0 and 0, preventing the creature from equipping anything more protective or useful, like helping hands or a chrome mantle. As the player spends more time underground, where the flight ability is unable to be used, its usefulness wanes.

Despite these drawbacks, Wings can be very helpful when traversing the overworld at a quick speed without the player knowing Wayfaring. Another ability that Wings has is that if flying, a player character can slowly float down deep shafts in Golgotha. However, stepping off of these shafts will immediately force the character to stop flying, requiring the player to travel the rest of the way down normally.
