The following mutations can be reflected by Mental Mirror if it fails to penetrate:
* Confusion
* Sunder Mind - Successfully reflecting a damage instance of Sunder Mind will reflect it back at the attacker and will immediately end an ongoing psychic battle.
* Teleport Other
* All other types of mental damage, such as psionic weapons
Everything else that checks against MA will also have Mental Mirror's bonus MA apply (and thus put it on cooldown), but nothing happens if there are no penetrations. This is a non-exhaustive list due to the large swath of attacks that uses MA to check success:
* Domination
* Proselytize
* Anything that inflicts Terrified
* Syphon Vim

This mutation grants the "Mental Mirror" ability, which is not activated but is rather a passive ability. If a creature makes a mental attack against a player with Mental Mirror, the player's effective MA against that attack is increased by a mutation level-based amount, allowing them to better resist it's effects. Certain mental mutations, such as Confusion and Teleport Other, will also be reflected back at the attacker if the attack fails to penetrate the player's MA. Mental Mirror applying it's effects to an attack will cause it to go on cooldown.

Mental Mirror

You reflect mental attacks back at your attackers.

When you suffer a mental attack while Mental Mirror is off cooldown, you gain (level based) mental armor (MA).
If the attack then fails to penerate your MA, it's reflected back at your attacker.
Cooldown: 50

Mental Mirror is a mental mutation that allows a creature to reflect mental attacks back at their source.

This mutation grants the "Mental Mirror" passive ability. Based on Mental Mirror's level, the creature's effective MA will increase, allowing them to better resist all checks that use MA. For certain attacks, the damage as well as effects will also be reflected back at the attacker if the attack fails to penetrate the target's MA.

If Mental Mirror's effects are applied to an incoming attack, it will be placed on cooldown for 50 rounds. It will not apply its bonus MA or reflect attacks while on cooldown.

Things affected

The following mutations can be reflected by Mental Mirror if it fails to penetrate:

 • Confusion
 • Sunder Mind - Successfully reflecting a damage instance of Sunder Mind will reflect it back at the attacker and will immediately end an ongoing psychic battle.
 • Teleport Other
 • All other types of mental damage, such as psionic weapons

Everything else that checks against MA will also have Mental Mirror's bonus MA apply (and thus put it on cooldown), but nothing happens if there are no penetrations. This is a non-exhaustive list due to the large swath of attacks that uses MA to check success:
